The Problem
During endoscopies and colonoscopies, surgeons often struggle to maintain a clear camera view while maneuvering forceps or snare tools, which have limited mobility once inside the body. This lack of independent control reduces precision, slows procedures, and makes sample collection or tissue resection more difficult.
The Solution
Continuum robot allows for greater maneuverability and non-planar positioning. Low fidelity prototype seen on right.
